A 'Play in May'

May Bank half term has seen us delivering our first 'Play in May' and we are exceptionally proud of it! The idea was to workshop a play over three days and then perform for our friend and family. We chose 'Dream on', a piece based in Shakespeare's 'A Midsummer Nights Dream' and as the workshops approached we couldn't help but wonder if we had bitten off more than we could chew. Three days with our cast and we of course realised that our concerns were completely unfounded. They learnt the entire script in two days, we still aren't quite sure how but they did! Mr B had to sellotape his lines to the back of his wall and Miss Taylor must be the only moon in the world to 'twinkle' instead of 'shine'!! The performance was entertaining from start to finish and our audience lapped up the comedy and the wonderful characters that our cast created. Another stellar memory for our portfolio!
